We are currently looking to fill two positions for Interactive Graphic Designers.
smOMedia is a growing digital creative agency based out of Portland, Oregon. We are seeking two highly motivated interactive graphic designers who can combine a strong artistic sense and technical skill to create compelling, award-winning designs in a fast-paced, environment.
Responsibilities include:
• Interpret project requirements, specifications, and create original mockups for client-facing Web applications, while striving for innovation and creativity whenever possible.
• Design websites, portals, mobile interfaces, microsites, email templates, and other interactive deliverables.
• Possess an advanced understanding of design principles, typography, and page layout, and have an impeccable eye for detail.
• Awareness of current trends and best practices in web and UX design.
• Ability to observe, understand and translate clients wants and needs to a finished product.
• Excellent documentation and presentation skills, strong oral and written communication skills and willingness to
work in a collaborative environment.
• Deliver work in a timely manner, in keeping with budget and technology constraints.
Qualifications:
• 2-plus years of online graphic design and development experience.
• Expert in Adobe Creative Suite, in particular Fireworks, Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Illustrator
• Proficient in CSS, HTML, XHTML
• A growing understanding of HTML 5 and CSS 3
• Basic level understanding of jQuery, JavaScript and helpful
• Online portfolio displaying strong online designs required
